What our members make possible
- Helps LELAN achieve our vision of mobilising the power of lived experience in South Australia.
- Demonstrates that our community and others believe in our values (courage, compassion, dignity, intersectionality, leadership and social justice), our work, and the way that we do it.
- Creates a community for people with lived experience, particularly consumers, to know they are not alone and that together our voice is stronger.
- Supports us to strengthen the skills, influence, opportunity and passion of people with lived experience to make sense of their experience and explore how to use it for change.
- Makes sure the collective experiences, solution ideas and advocacy of people with lived experience are heard and really do inform practice, policy, service and system improvements.
- Helps organisations wanting to include people with lived experience to do it better.
- Keeps LELAN accountable to our community.
